  2. The name of our town land is Ballybawn which means the white land. It is composed of hills sloping down to the river. A little river named the Léimawadra, (the dog's leap) runs through it.
    The names of our fields are Páirc Na habhann, the Lonesome Field, (Fairies were seen there long ago with lanterns) the clover Field, the Break, the Meadow, Carraig
