    furiously. He went in home and was just taking off his boots when the door opened and his companion's sister walked in. She was very frightened. "I thought my brother John might be here," she said, "as he opened our door to-night. We were saying the Rosary and he looked at us all. We thought he looked as pale as death."
    The boy of the house knew immediately that something was wrong. A few weeks later a letter arrived from America telling them that John had been killed on the very night he was to have finished work.
    He had kept his word. He had visited his home and his companion.
