There was an old man names Dudley who owned a shop in Garnish...

    (continued from previous page)
He was in Castletown another night and as it was getting late he agreed to take a lift long with a Dursey crowd that were in town the same day. They were coming out in a lorry. When it was near time to be leaving he came along to the garage and all the Dursey crowd were there ahead of him. They were making a share of noise - talking and arguing - as they had a share of drink taken likely, and when Dudley saw them he stood at the garage door.
" A very noisy crowd," says he, "I think I'd rather walk."
He started off and walked it all the way to Garnish.
