  1. Local Patron St.
There was no St. in this district but there was one in the next district. He was St. Kieran. The village is called Ardkieran. It is one and a quarter miles from me.
There is a churchyard in Ardkieran. There are people using this graveyard yet. There is a little boy coming to school called Kieran. There is no holiday in honour of this Saint.
St. Kieran was to build seven churches in Ardkieran but a l tinker stole his donkey and he had to go to Clonmacnoise.
As he was coming to Ardkieran he crossed some fields and his donkey wanted a drink and three spring wells sprung up in the field. The wells are there yet. This field is in Mullymusc.
