  1. Rathconnor.
I live in the townland of Rathconnor. Seven hundred and fifty years ago there was a giant who lived in King Dathis palace.
He rode King Dathis horse, and this horse was enchanted. This horse took many long jumps. The giant came riding to Roscommon one day. He took a jump from Mullymux to a field in our village.
There was a rock in the field and the horse leaped into it. There is a print of the horse's hooves in the rock. It is seen in the rock yet.
The horse then jumped to Shedlough. This field is owned by Mr M Gilleran
