    People have a lot of marriage customs. Shrove is the time of the year from Christmas until Lent. People do not get married in Lent or Advent. Most marriages take place at Easter.
    There is no day considered lucky or unlucky for marrying in this locality. Generally people make matches in the girl's house. In this locality money is usually given as a fortune.
    Long ago the couple used to be married in the brides house but it is not done in this locality now. The wedding takes place in the girls house.
    Straw-boys dress up in straw to disguise themselves and go to the wedding. They dance in the house and always get intoxication drink or tea.
    It is said that long ago the bride and bridegroom used to go home from the wedding on a horse.
