- Another beggar woman was a Miss Bodkin or as she was better known as the Feather Womaneen. She used to carry her bed of feathers about with her on her back, and her bed-clothes in two buckets. She was very clean and neat in her person. From the house in which she stayed for the night she would not take any bed-clothes lest they would not be clean. She used her own.(continues on next page)
