   of sport and many good catches. Fowling is usually done with a single barrell gun or a double barrell shot gun. There are different seasons for the different sorts of wild birds. Wild Duck, Geese and Plover fowling is generally done from the twelfth of August to the end of February. Grouse from the twelfth of August to the ninth of December. Snipe and Woodcock from the first of October to the thirty-first of October. Pheasant from the first of October to the thirty-first of January. Hares from the twenty-sixth of September to the end of February.
