    The Landlord.
The landlord of this district was Major Arthur Ffench. He was an Englishman. He was looked upon as a very good landlord as he never evicted anyone. The landlord bought the land and divided them into farms. He had to get the rent twice a year. When he bought the land he planted hedges and he made a rule no one to keep goats but he allowed any poor people who had no cows to keep goats instead.
