  1. There is a treasure hidden in "Carraward" ditch in Ballybeg in the parish of Carniska Co Roscommon.
    It is supposed to be there for over one hundred years and to consist of a crock of gold. It was put there by a robber who was to be executed. . He told in jail that the treasure was hidden in this ditch.
    A man who was in America dreamt he got this treasure.He saw the spot where it was hidden in his dream. He was so sure of it that he came home and dug for it in the very spot where he thought it was but he found nothing.
