    very good at kicking football and he often leaped six feet off the ground.
    Peter Owens Fairy-mount, Kilrooskey, Co Roscommon was coming home from Strokestown one day. He had to pass two masons who were building a house on his way home. They asked him to help them to lift a stone as they were no able to lift it themselves. He told them to keep back and then he took the stone up in one hand and left it up on the house. This shows what a strong man he must have been.
