    Many years ago, there was a bottle factory in Ballinakill.
    It was situated in the Cinders, Clohogue. The sand which was used in the factory was got in Boleybeg. Then they melted the lime and soda with the sand, and it was from that the bottles were made. The bottles were of a dark green colour. When the factory closed down a great many men were left idle. The factory was beside the Owenbeg river. There is no trace of the factory now, only heaps of Cinders and old bottles. Many old bits of broken green glass are to be seen there yet.
