In Offaly County about two miles from Geashill Railway Station in the townsland of Ballykean there are two Blessed Wells dedicated to St,John.They are in the centre of a big field.Years ago the owner of the land got those two wells closed so that the land could be cultivated, When morning came his house was flooded by a spring well so he at once sent his men to open the blessed wells and from that day to this no owner ever interfered.
