  1. One night when Father was only a boy he had to stay up to mind a sow. At about 12.30 he heard a crash at the door.He looked out to see what it was but he could see nothing, After a while he heard the noise again and he got frightened. It happened that there was a fork just outside the door so he got it and held it pointing towards the door for a long time. Then something gave the door a push. He shoved out the fork and it stuck in something. He was so frightened that he went straight to bed and told his brother,who was to get up at 2.30 that it was 2.30.Next morning he was asked who stuck the fork in the goat.
