(O'Neills and O'Tooles) Why do the crows fly low over Kilcullen? Because when Fionn MacCumhaill was throwing the stone from the Hill of Allen to Knock Aulinn, he hit a crow and killed it. The crows are in mourning ever since. Why is the corned meat in Kilcullen so very salty ? Because brine (O'Brien) is plentiful. What is the best fishing centre in Kildare ? Kilcullen- because there are plenty Salmon there. Above have been collected by Helen Power, Giltown, who heard them from one Mrs T Flanagan.
