- Wounds An old cure for wounds is a weed called Bog Cotton which grows in the Bog. People had to use it long ago in the war to cure wounds.
- Blood Poison There is a weed called "Soldiers" Plaintain. Squeeze the leaves of this plant in your hand and put the joice in the cut and it will be cured.
- Sting of Nettles Dock-leaf - saying Dockety, Dockety, take the sting of a nettle away.
- Whitlow Rub it with a roasted potato.
- rub a roasted fig on it
- apply some roasted salt in a black stocking
- smoke off blessed turf is good.
