Because when Fionn MacCumhaill was throwing the stone from the Hill of Allen to Knock Aulinn, he hit a crow and killed it. The crows are in mourning ever since.

Because brine (O'Brien) is plentiful.
What is the best fishing centre in Kildare ?
Kilcullen- because there are plenty Salmon there.
