  1. Mass Rocks:-
    In Saint Mullins about five miles to the South east of Graignamanagh there was a Mass Rock. Neighbouring Catholics heard Mass there whilst sentries were posted all round watching for the approach of the enemy. The priest carried the Sacred vessels with him. It is believed that there was another Mass Rock in Coolroe, because at one time a sliver Chalice near the present bridge of Aclare was un-earthed.
    The Devil's Eyebrow:-
    On the Tinnehinch side of the River Barrow there is a huge rock called Carrig an Gabhair. This rock got its name because goats in great numbers graze on the top of the Rock. One part of the rock is called the Devil's Eyebrow. At one time there was a small house in the shelter of
