  1. When any person was sick with the disease called the "Leitneach", or the mumps, salt was heated on a red lid and put in a stocking and tied around the person's neck. The old cure for a burn was caron oil and waggon grease. This mixture was applied to the burn each day until the flesh was cured. St. Anthony's Fire is a terrible rash that affects the body. The only cure for this rash is Cahill's or Kehoe's Blood.
    In Stackley about three miles from Graignamanagh there lived a woman who was able to cure Cancer on the outer parts of the body. Her name was Mrs. Murphy.
    There are several methods of curing warts. Some people go to a man who has a prayer for curing warts. Some people put their fasting spits on the warts
