  1. In years gone by there were many great hurlers and footballers in Mullinavat. Tom Holden, Michael Conway and many more of them. One day they hurled against Ballyhale and Mullinavat won the match. It was said that Ballyhale were stronger than Mullinavat.
    There was a great footballer named Pat France in Mullinavat. One Sunday he was going into second Mass. There was some boy kicking a football, he kicked it so high that it was only coming down when they were coming out of Mass.
