  2. Ball in the cap is a very old game. It is a very nice game also. It is played with a bat, bits of sticks [?] caps, We leave our caps in a line on the ground, and someone throws the ball, in whoever's cap the ball goes he gets the ball out of his cap, and throws it at the other boys. Whoever he hits gets a stick, and if he did not hit anyone himself gets a stick. Whoever has twelve sticks is out of the game, until everone has twelve sticks. The last to get twelve sticks has the game won
