    which stll remain. The water in the well them dwindled to a mere trickle and has remained so ever since. In olden times pilgrims used to pray at the well and drink the water. Now-a-days there are no religious exercises held, and "Pattern Day" is a day of amusement only. In the village there are ruins which are said to be the remains of a Church, and there in the possesssion of a family named Darmody an old carved wooden Cross which is supposed to be the Altar-Cross of the old Church.
