On Easter Sunday morning people go to the nearesst spring well as the sun is supposed to dance on the waters that morning & anyone who sees this will be lucky for the year.On Easter Sunday morning the world may see The Three suns* dancing with rejoicement to me*The three suns were "The sun, the moon and the stars"People wouldn't stay out late on a May Eve as varioius bad occurences took place on this day.
It is unlucky to bring into the house a branch of the hawthorn when in blossom as it is supposed to be a sign of a death in the house before the year is out.
All May evenings were supposed to be eerie or "airy" as it is said in this district and people were very careful never to be out late on those evenings and any cold or sickness got or contracted duing this month was supposed to be much worse than any other sickness during the year.- Faisnéiseoir
