The wild birds that mostly inhabit my district are the blackbird, thrush, robin, wren, wagtail, sparrow and the pigeon. Some birds of prey also inhabit it which are the crow, the hawk and the mag-pie. The cuckoo, the corncrake and the swallow which are emigrant birds also inhabit it. The blackbird which is a good songster is black in colour with a yellow beak. She usually builds her nest in the middle of bushes. Her eggs are blue in colour. In Autumn when the apples are ripe she picks are bores holes in them. The thrush like the blackbird is a fine songster and builds her nest in a thick row of bushes. Her eggs are blue, spotted with brown in colour. The robin is our only Winter songbird. She is brown in colour with a red breast. A story is told(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
