    There were several industries in my district in former times.
    There were shoemakers, tailors, weavers, coopers, and carpenters. All the old people used to make rush candles.
    Pat Maxwell used to make baskets. The blacksmith's used to [make] spades, and gates in the forge. Nearly all the old women used to spin and dye the wool. There was a weaver in this district named Pat Barry.
    There were two barrel and churn makers around this district, one named Hugh Kelly and the other named Hugh Greham. One lived in Ashfort and the other in Hillstreet. There was also a wheel-maker in this district. There is a limekiln not far from this district in a place called Carrowmore.
