    Colonel King Harman was the local landlord of Boyle, fifty years ago.

    the life of King Harman. -:
    One day as the Colonel and one of his servants were out hunting, he saw a girl in a field beside her house, picking potatoes. He went into her house and asked the woman of the house was that her daughter out in the field. The woman said it was, so he went out and asked the girl would she rather go to the States, then to remain at home picking potatoes. The girl was delighted with his offer, so he bought her a first class cabin and gave her forty pounds. He also built her mother a new house.
    He is another story which happened during the organisation of the Land League. -:
