   Boyle abounds in fairy forts, and each and every one of them are said to be inhabited by the fairies. The one I have heard most of, is situated in the "acres" and near at hand there are four houses which are now unhabited. The following are true stories which were told at the fireside by the woman who witnessed the events. One stormy night in October this woman discovered she had no water in the house. Putting an old shawl around her shoulders and taking a can she started off from home to get the water, which could be obtained at the bottom of the fort.
