    Scregg:- This is the name of a wild barren heathery hill and the use of it is for quarrying stones.
    Lochán:- This is the name of a wet low-lying field.
    Cimín:- This is the name given to a fertile elevated field and is used for feeding sheep and young horses.
    Áth na Donnóige:- This is the name given to a shallow part of a river which flows near Drumboylan and old people say that it was from the great number of fish caught there called "Donnóg" that it got its present name.
    Smutterna:- This is the name given to a townland. During the famine days the occupants did their utmost to procure a good crop of barley, but alas! it was a failure and since it has been called Smutterna or in Irish "Smuit Eornain"
