- Long ago there was a cow named Glas Gaimneách. She lived in Kerry. Some people in Kerry were very poor. They had no cows or no milk. This cow had ten calves. She was of a grey colour. She gave milk to all the poor people of Kerry. She used to go from one village to another. One day only she would stay in any village. All the poor - people used bring churns and milk enough milk that would do them until she would come back again. The ten calves used give milk to all the poor people of Ireland except Kerry. One day two women had a dispute. One of them bet the other that she would milk her into a vessel that she would not fill. She got a sieve and milked the cow into it, until she brought the blood. When the cow looked back she saw the milk streaming along the mountain side. She got vexed at seeing her milk ill - used. She ran(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
