The most noted of them were Richard Hoyne, Richard Grace and James Cody. They were well able to dance the Hornpipe, Reel and Double. They learned these dances from a man named Ivory.There was a woman living in Ballyphilip in the parish of Lisdowney Co Kilkenny and her name was Bridget Maher. Every Saturday she walked to Kilkenny with a firkin of butter on her head.
