  1. When the sun goes down red in the evening the next day will be fine. When there is a circle around the moon it is going to rain. When the dark clouds are in the sky it is a sign of rain. The south and west winds bring the most rain in this district. When rooks fly high tumbling in the air stormy weather is predicted. When the cock crows late in the evening it is a sure sign of rain. When swallows fly high it is a sign of fine weather and when they fly low it is a sign of wet weather. When the cat sits with her back to the fire it is a sign of cold weather. When the sky is red in the evening and grey in the morning it is a sign of a beautiful day. When the wind whirls the dust on the road it is a sign of rain.
