  1. There is an old fort in Con Donoghue's farm. It is situated in the townland of Rusheemore. It is under the ground in the fardest back field. It is going through the bank of the river Flesk. It is about 300 yards from the house.
It is about ten yards long. It is a passage like a corridor - round roofed paved with stones on each side. It is very low in the mouth and is getting higher as it is going in along. It is about the hight of a man in the middle of it. It is getting lower again and in farther there is a big hole.
It is said the English soldiers used to live there. There were bullets found around it. The hole was filled with hay and it is said that it was to keep the bullets dry.
