for her hire. The woman said that she would not take any money but that her son had a disease and to give her a cure for it. I will tell you what happened to him says the fairy. "One night he was thirsty and he came down to the kitchen and took a cup of water and drank half of it and threw the rest of it into the fire and quenched it in us. We were very busy that night boiling eggs. I will cure him for you come on out. She pointed to the house and pronounced strange words. "So go on home maam and thanks very much says the fairy woman for your kindness. When she went home her son was allright. He was playing around with the rest of the lads.
