    A long time ago, there was a man and his wife living together in a house.

    (continued from previous page)
    The man was roaring crying too in the chimney, the porridge was all soot and there was no butter on the milk. The cow was choking on the house. The woman cut the rope and let her husband and the cow free. He ran out and said that when he would mind the house again, many a year would have passed. He said a woman had a very hard life.
