    thorns were put on Our Lord's head, a robin came to him and made an attempt to pull them out.
    A drop of Our Lord's blood, fell on the bird's breast, and that is believed to be another reason why the robin has a red breast.
    Each bird sits on her eggs three weeks. If boys rob bird's nest's it is said they will be unlucky.
