    If foxes bark much in October there are calling up a great fall of snow. If the leaves are on the trees in October the coming winter will be cold. A thick frog on and August morning is a sign of rain.
    If the Cat lies in the sun in February she will creep to the heart stone in March.
    When birds and badgers are fact in October it is a sign of a cold winter.
    If the swallows flying low it betokens rain.
    A cold evening in winter it’s a sign of frost.
    A sunny June brings harvest early.
