  1. I have heard my father often talking of a man named Patrick Niland a native of Drumfin that he was great at weight lifting. This man could take a cart with about twelve hundred weight of timber on it and put it standing up on one wheel. This man challenged about forty men at Drumfin Cross to see which of them could lift it. But none of them was able to lift it.
Peter OHara of Drumfin is a great stort-teller. This man won many prizes for stories. He can make up stories the same as you could read out of a book.
