  1. There are the ruins of a gentleman's residence in Lisconny. The people who lived there in former times were the name of Cogan. Mr Cogan was the high sheriff of the county. It is about sixty years since they left.
    There were great masons when these houses were built it was nearly impossible to throw them. I heard that it was an old man the name of Finnen who built it. There are old pillars standing there yet and not a stone even fell from them.
    It was built about the years 1783. It is in the townland of Lisconny, Parish of Riverstown, Barony of Tirerrill and Co of Sligo. It was not even attacked at any time. It is supposed
