    In a county village in Co.Mayo there were five boys and they were great comrades.

    had to go home through the graveyard.
    Now it happened that in this graveyard there was a grave opened, with a large pile of clay thrown up one side and all the tools including a shovel left on top ready for a coffin the next day.
    So while Paddy enjoyed himself in the pub, the four pals went to the graveyard.
    One of them entered the grave and lay down in the bottom while the other three remained outside behind the wall.
    There they waited until twelve o’clock when they heard Paddy’s faltering footsteps coming along. As he approached the fellow in the grave began to groan and Paddy stopped suddenly
