- The same people travel to our district every Spring and Autumn. Some of them are very poor and more are quite comfortable. They sell tin-cans, pongers, lace, flowers, baskets, and sometimes small-tables or carpets. They travel around the country begging for flour, milk, tea, sugar, eggs, butter bacon and sometimes they want clothes, and some of them sell things. It is very seldom that the people have welcome for them. They stay about four night's in every place. They sleep in tents and caravans and on road's where(continues on next page)
