    In the townland of Drumfad and in the Parish of Ahamlish, County Sligo, there is a woman named Mrs. Moore that could walk to Ballyshannon and back again in two hours. This is a distance of thirty miles.

  2. There was a shipwreck outside Dernish Island, Parish of Ahamlish, County Sligo, a long time ago. When the Spanish were coming to Ireland they went up on a rock named, "Carraig na Spáinne." The crew was lost, and it is said there is a lot of gold there. They took the wrong route.
