    Bhí bean in Áth na gCeap go dtugtaí Cáit na Fraince uirthi. Oidhche Shamhna chuaidh cailíní óga ó Bhaile na Cúirte chuiche chun ubhla agus póiríní d'fhaghail. Nuair a bhíodar ag teacht abhaile conacadar fear na seasamh ar phort na h-abhann agus ceapadar gur bhfear é chun na n-ubhal a bhaint díobh. Nuair a thangadar in aice leis dheineadar amach gur bhfear ón saoghal eile é. Dimthigheadar tré bóthar eile. Do bhí aithne acu ar an bhfear agus bhí an fear marbh an oidhche sin.
