    I am a brave undaunted boy
    Pat Sheridan is my name\From the chapel of coolcarney
    Last Sunday as I came
    As I passed by who did I spy
    But yoemen on parade
    And says one unto the other
    Here comes the Ribbon Blade
    II.
    I bravely marched up to them
    And they ordered me to stand
    I did not know the reason why
    They gave me such command
    With their orange colours flying
    In purple and cockade
    And such company would never agree
    With an Irish Ribbon Blade
    III.
    They marched me off to Sligo jail
    My tria for to stand
    For six long weeks or better
    I lay in a prison cell
    But all that time no friend I had
