When they reached the appointed place the black man was there before them. "Well" he said to the sailor "I see you are a man of your word." "Yes," said the sailor, I have always tried to keep my word - no matter what the sacrifice." "Are you ready now to fulfil your promise" "Yes, although it is hard."
