    One day when the son of a landlord was playing handball in his own private ball alley, a little man came to him and asked him for a game.

    One day when the son of a landlord was playing handball in his own private ball alley a little man came to him and asked him for a game. "What will we play for" said Jack the landlord's son. "Whoever wins three out of five games can have a wish on the other" said the little man. Jack agreed and the game began. After much fighting Jack won the first three games. "Well" said the little man "have your wish." "I wish that everytime I put my hand in my pocket I can take up a fistful of sovereign's." said Jack. "Your wish is granted" said the little man and off he went. Jack came home delighted and when he met his father he put his hand in his pocket and took out a fistful of sovereign's. Where did you get them" said his father. "I won them down at the alley" said Jack. "Well you are going to pay for them yet" said his father. Next day Jack went to the alley and the little was there as soon as him and asked him for a game, the conditions being the same as the previous day. Jack agreed and they played away until Jack again won three games out of the five. "Have your wish" said the little man. "I wish that my father's land be stocked with
