    A sudden return with joy in her eyes,
    Her great sedate parent expressed some surprise.
    "O mother" said she "the good folks of this house",
    "I'm convinced have not any ill-will to a mouse,
    Those tales you always are telling that a mouse who once entered would ever return,"
    "Let the young people mind what the old people say,
    When danger is near them keep out of the way".

    It is also considered very unlucky to see one magpie - The rhyme goes like this:-
