  1. Fairs are held in the towns nowadays, there is a different place in the fair for sheep, cattle and horses.
    Some towns have fair greens and others have not. There are hill of sand in Ballinamona. a short distance from there is a castle in a place called Garbally.
    The dealer used sell and buy stock there. There were fairs held in Menlough twice a year, where there are none now. The luck penny is paid to the man that buys the beast, and pays for it.
