    Care of the feet. 14-6-'38
    The shoe makers in this district long ago could make the shoes look like new, sometimes he could put on old soles on some of the shoes that had good upper parts so that was saving in money.
    He used to steep the leather and tan it then with an iron last and a hammer or mallet.
