  1. Long ago the people used eat oat - meal bread and there was no flour or whole - meal that time. They used to make this bread with meal and butter-milk and bake it in a pot.
    The people long ago used to make boxty bread also. First they used to get raw potatoes and peel the skin off them, and cut them up small. Then they used get flour and mix it through the potatoes. After that they got butter-milk and mixed it with the flour and potatoes.
    When they had the dough made they used get a griddle and put the dough into it for 1 hour to bake. In some districts this
