  1. Long ago the people had a lot of customs. My father told me a few a short time ago.
    (1) If a person was going to a fair and met a white horse he would turn back because he would have bad luck.
    (2) If a person was getting married, the people of the house would throw an old shoe after him for good luck.
    (3) If a person was going on a position he would always go on a Friday.
